The homeschoolers in Arcata told us to hit the County Fair so we did, of course we spent the first 2 hours watching the boys
ride the rides, Luc's favorite was the Dragon Ride and the big long slide (which he went on 15 or so times). Reese prefers the rides that make you go upside down and hold you there for a few seconds, pass! I remember that stage of life when i felt wonderful to be shaken from head to toe over and over again, i've discovered that you grow out of it.
We saw a great comedian/juggler/ show and a high dive show, the highlight being that he lit himself on fire and then dove into the pool, now that's entertainment. I loved the animals, i stared into the amazing eyes of a sheep for 10 minutes or so, we had a connection, really we saw the true divinity of each other, it was memorable. They had the most beautiful chickens i've ever seen, so many varieties of colors and they had baby ducks for sale for $2. I suggested we take one and raise it in our bathtub in the RV, Reese thought that was a great idea!
The craftwork was inspiring, the quilts were amazing and we got to see a lady with a spinning wheel spining cat and dog hair (we throw that away at our house).
